The walkers started at 9:15am and the runners at 10:15am. A fine day with sunshine, a light to moderate NNE'ly breeze & temperatures 8 to 10C. Well done to all. It started at the Point of Ayre (8am) and it stayed dry all day with bright or sunny spells & mostly light winds, as forecast!. However, some found it rather too warm. The race was won by Sean Hands in 6hrs44mins 07secs (provis.), which is a new record for this route. The next 2 finishers, Michael George & Jock Waddington, also beat the previous record (Robbie Callister, 6:56:26 in 2007). Sue Biggart was 1st Lady finisher in 7:13:27 (provis.), beating her previous ladies record. Well done to all walkers, Well done to the organisers / officials & helpers.
